Dynamic Law Firm Website

Optim Legal had an all Flash website that was not very search engine friendly. Working with Online Media Rooms, I converted the look and feel of the Flash site to WordPress and built in categories and posts that would allow them to keep their content fresh.

BaoBao Festival Website

I’ve been volunteering with the BaoBao Festival, a West African dance and drumming festival that takes place in Boulder each March, for the past 7 years. I created a flat html website for the festival in 2005 and finally converted it to WordPress last week. Working with the festival earned me an invite for a three-week trip to Ghana last Christmas, where I learned to play four variations of the abstract strategy game, Oware.

Rabbi's Podcast Site

This was a very fun site to work on. The Rabbi who lives next door to me wanted a cool site from which to post his Podcast and have it automatically feed to iTunes. I found three different themes that had graphic elements that had a western, old wood look and was able to Frankenstein together an unique theme for the site.

With WordPress, he’ll be able to maintain all the content himself and have a blog for his poetry, prose and musings, and a shopping cart for his current books.

Artist Gallery Websites

Most of these sites were created in flat-file HTML. I would love to convert them to WordPress at some point. They work well for portfolio sites but they are not all search engine optimized, and I could do so much more with them now than I could several years ago.

WordPress Websites Using NextGen Gallery

I don’t think I could survive without Alex Rabe’s robust NextGen Gallery plugin for WordPress. This plugin allows for sophisticated management of photos and many options for displaying them on your WordPress blog or website.

Following are some sites on which I’ve used the plugin and taken advantage of the many display options, including:
